PHOTOGRAPHY, EXPANDED RECAP
Ben Lowy speaks at Photography, Expanded. Photo by Ruth Prieto
Photography, Expanded, organized with the Open Society Foundations, engaged a sold-out crowd in innovative photography projects. Photographers and tech-strategists were brought together to cross-pollinate ideas and share multi-platform storytelling strategies. Resources from the conference are available online.
MF FELLOWS IN THE NEWS
We are proud to announce that our fellows, Taslima Akhter, Alexis Lambrou, Ruth Prieto, and Pete Pin have recently been featured on TIME LightBox, The New York Times Lens blog, and NPR. These fellows honed their skills and developed their projects either through MF’s Human Rights Fellowship Program or its Emergency Fund Fellowship program, which supports emerging documentary photographers working on under-reported stories in NYC.
Issue 19 of Esopus Magazine (spring 2013) features an unpublished story by Burt Glinn, “Rosita’s Reformed Pigeons,” co-edited by Legacy Director, John Jacob, for the magazine’s ongoing series “Analog Recovery.“
