Nathalie's Ph.D. thesis intends to build an economic model that shows that creating and maintaining a strong legal environment is vital to encourage technological and economic growth in African countries which contrasts with African governments having opposing incentives to maintain weak legal environments. With this research she hopes "to take an active role against the injustices and conflicts that plague Africa," and find "potential solutions to poverty."
