Christopher William, 2008 Fellow




Christopher's Ph.D. research is on livelihoods and land use change on Uluguru Mountain, Tanzania, focusing on issues of social justice, economic development and social/environmental sustainability, and the tensions inherent in conservation practices and people's daily lives. Upon graduation he plans to "contribute to solutions to the problem of resource-management conflicts in order to promote human harmony with nature, and to sustain livelihoods, both nationally and regionally."
