Home country: Ghana
I come from Tsiame in the Volta Region of Ghana. I hold a Bsc in Zoology from the University of Ghana, Legon. My past work experience has been with the Noguchi Memorial Institute of Medical Research and the Volta Basin Research Project. I worked as I research assistant on a project which sought to investigate the relationship between genital schistosomiasis and HIV/AIDS prevalence in the Manya Krobo District of Ghana.
I did my summer internship with the Energy and Environment Unit of the United Nations Development Programme country office of Ghana. As part of my internship, I was on the field in the Northern Region of Ghana to investigate how the use of LPG to substitute for firewood could help redeem the vegetation of that region.
In August 2005, I enrolled at the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies to pursue a Masters Degree in Environmental Management and my expected date of graduation is in May 2007.
