Research Topic: The Effects of Environmental Shocks on Fertility Timing and Decision-Making

Taiwo received a college degree in Actuarial Science and a pre-doctoral fellowship in Economics at Yale before entering Brown University’s Economic Demography Program. He spent three years as a trainee actuary and four years in commercial banking after graduating from college in Nigeria. His research is focused on the influence of country level political economy on demographic behavior and outcomes, and on the effects of kin networks on both human (quantity and quality) capital investments.
