Environmental Management / Mexico
I was born in Tampico, Tamaulipas and for the past three years, have been studying in Tijuana. I am economist. In 2002, I graduated from the university having the best average of my class. In 2004 I finished an MBA in Economics at Universidad AutŪnoma de Baja California. My dissertation focused on Institutions and Industrial Development in the North Border of Mexico. In 2004 I started another Master degree in Integral Environmental Management at Colegio de la Frontera Norte in Tijuana. I am still defining the topic of my dissertation in which I will assess the environmental politics and programs focused on air pollution control and abatement, implemented by local governments, in the industrial Mexican cities of Guadalajara and Monterrey.
Outside of my academic profile, I volunteered at Mexican Red Cross while I lived in Tampico, from 1998 to 2000. While working on my undergraduate degree at the university in Tampico I did my social service at the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources where my interest in the environment and its protection was born.
