Biography:
I was born in the small western town of San Ignacio in Belize. I atttended Sacred Heart High school in San Ignacio Town and then went on to attend Saint John's Junior College in Belize City.  I worked as a Bio-technician for the USDA in a couple of their Belize programs, including the Vampire Bat Education and Control Program.  Subsequently, I attended the University of North Florida and obtained a BS in Biology, cum laude.  After this I obtained a job as the Belize National Coordinator for a Avi-faunal research project entitled Birds Without Borders-Aves Sin Fronteras.  This was a project of the foundation for Wildlife Conservation and the  Zoological Society of Milwaukee.  Subsequently, I obtained a Fulbright/OAS Ecology Initiative grant to pursue graduate studies here at University of Florida.
