Biographical sketch:
Alberto Cubero’s field is medicine. He is a general practitioner, who worked on “Medication for chronic diseases among the Latin American elderly population” as his final thesis for my MA in population and health. In his research, he tried to elucidate some factors that influence the probability of the elderly population having proper medication. He set out to prove consistence of techniques of receiving the proper medication and investigated the different dimensions that influence the medication acquisition process.  This work was carried out by using databases from the SABE project (Salud, bienestar y envejecimiento en América Latina), at the Pan-American Health Organization. Last January and February, he worked for PAHO in DC, as a short term consultant, in the Aging and Health program.
