Sulley received a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Science Technology in Ghana and a Certificate in Disaster Management from the Royal Military College Of Science, Cranfield University. As the National Coordinator for Disaster Preparedness Response for the Ghana Red Cross for over 8 years, Sulley has had wide experience in planning and implementing of Food Security Projects, emergency response programs affecting displaced persons from natural disasters like floods, conflicts and refugees from Liberia, Sierra Leone, Togo and Ivory Coast. His research project, which is still at the formulation stage, seeks to identify the impact of a water harvesting irrigation facility constructed for supporting women groups to increase food yields in an area with chronic food insecurity. The project will seek to measure the impact in the areas of food/nutritional values, public health, socio-economic structures and the environment on the Tuende village community in the Upper East Region of Ghana.
