She later joined Village Aid Project as a project manager in the same districts. In her capacity as a project manager, Youth were empowered to decision-making and rediscover their lost sense of worth and dignity, that awaken them to the realisation of their potential as community developers in the districts through adult literacy called REFLECT (Regenerated Frierian Literacy to Empower Community Techniques) Mary was a facilitator in the Manya district for Clark's Policy Analysis for Participatory Poverty Alleviation (PAPPA) Program in Eastern Ghana. Through her effort as a community facilitator to Clark's PAPPA, 2 communities were sensitised to prioritize their needs and came out with action plans to develope the communities. Now PAPPA has been an essencial poverty alleviation tool in most Ghanaian communities.
