Myra was born in Tapachula, Chiapas and has lived in Tijuana since 1988. She studied tourism at the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California. Her research area is ecotourism in protected in Baja California -Area de Protección de Flora y Fauna el Valle de los Cirios. Myra hopes to establish an ecotourism program in order to protect Baja California that has many beautiful things to offer. Myra believes a natural area protected can be a perfect place to develop ecotourist activities, conserving the natural environment and improving the well being of local people.
