Emily Otali
Emily is in the first year of a 3-year Ph.D. program at Makere University, where she is studying party formation in chimpanzees in Kanyawara, Kibale Forest. She has worked as a research assistant for the University of Cambridge Banded Mongoose Project in Queen Elizabeth Naitonal Park. She completed her MSc on Banded Mongoose in 2000. Emily has been featured in the BBC series Vets in the Wild and in National Geographic documentaries on Banded Mongoose. Emily's main interests are in behavioral ecology (how environmental changes affect animal behavior). She would like to continue conservation research after her Ph.D.
