Oscar Jesús Mendoza
Oscar is a native of Potosí, Boliva. He studied agronomical engineering, and is a specialist in seed technology from the University of Brazil. He is currently studying for his Master's at
El Colegio de la Frontera Norte. Since 1992, he has worked in programs of rural development introducing the concept of food security, gender in development and, decentralization policies. These programs were funded by UNICEF and the Netherlands Government, and FAO in Bolivia.
He's interested in the environment because as he believes that agriculture is important for the development of countries; however, agriculture has to refrain from environmental pollution by chemical products, deforestation due to expansion of the expanding agricultural frontier, and wasteful water use in its production. In his free time, he likes to listen to music and play football (soccer). His goal is to make friends all around the world.
