Ruth Gaxiola

Ruth Gaxiola is from Ciudad Obregón, Mexico. She received a bachelor degree in Agronomist Engineer and is currently in the fourth trimester in the Master of Environmental Administration at El Colegio de la Frontera Norte in Tijuana, Mexico.

For the past 14 years, Ruth's work experience has been in economic and financial evaluation of projects (proposals) for rural activities (agriculture, cattle raising, fisheries, etc.) and in specialized consulting for micro and small companies in the fields of industrial, commerce and services. Currently, she is working for an NGO in Tijuana. The organization offers educational and artistic programs to promote community development and is focused on the neighborhood of La Esperanza, a marginalized community within the city. Ruth's primary interest is in field-based Environmental Education working to promote community development and improving its quality of life.
