Samson Salifu Danse, 2001 Fellow

Sam Salifu Danse

Danse is in his final year of graduate work at Clark University and is pursuing a Masters in International Development and Social Change. Prior to this, Danse was the Country Program Manager of a British NGO (Village AiD) in Ghana where he worked with local partner organisations in adopting participatory tools to the Ghanaian political, ecological, and cultural scene. He has also been working with Clark University's Center for Community Based Research in linking national policy and local action towards poverty alleviation/ eradication in Ghana. A training handbook on this topic is underway. His recent research work is centered on exploring how human activity and development affects/impacts on the environment and the livelihood base of people in the Yilo and Manya krobo Districts in the eastern region of Ghana. Danse is a trainer and development practitioner.
