Kubaje Adazu

Kubaje Adazu is a final year Ph.D. student in Sociology at Brown University and just about to wrap up his dissertation. His major areas of interest include population distribution, urbanization, education, and child health. His current research is on migration and child mortality in Ghana. Kubaje Adazu has a Master's Degree in Sociology from Brown University, a Bachelors Degree in Mathematics and a Diploma in Teaching from Cape Coast University, Ghana. Prior to coming to Brown University, he worked at the Navrongo Health Research Center (Ghana) for five years, first as a Data Manager and later as the Head of the Computer Center. Kubaje Adazu utilized his position as the head of the Computer Center to develop skills in demographic and social research. He was able to learn technical Demography independently and soon became an important resource for several population-based research protocols at the Navrongo Health Research Centre. In the course of his training at Brown University, Kubaje Adazu has developed an expertise in the area of concomitant event analysis, the explanation of demographic dynamics by dynamics in some other demographic process. As such, he has mastered advanced statistics and demographic methods, analytical writing, and social research. He has participated in several conferences of the Population Association of America and has published in peer reviewed journals.
