Groundbreaking Poll: Latino/as compassionate, supportive on abortion

Grantee News From Reproductive Health Technologies Project

The Reproductive Health Technologies Project and the National Latina Institute for Reproductive Health are pleased to share a new survey showing that among Latino voters:
67% would support a close friend or family member who had an abortion;

74% agree a woman has a right to make her own personal, private decisions about abortion without politicians interfering;
68% are willing to disagree with church leaders on the legality abortion; and more.

The Poll, conducted by Lake Research Partners, goes beyond Latino/a attitudes on legality to gauge feelings related to judgment and support for a woman’s decision to end a pregnancy.
